About The Photo Testers
We are called The Photo Testers because that is what we do. We open an account on each tool, load it with test clients and real session details, and run the actual jobs a photographer runs. Booking, contracts, invoices, galleries, the works. Then we write down what held up and what got in the way.
Most reviews you find are written by someone who used one tool and guessed at the rest, or pulled straight off a software company's homepage. Both are close to useless when you are about to hand over a card number every month.
So we do the slow version. We sign up, we test, and we keep the pricing current. When a tool changes its plans, we change the page. When something is annoying, we say so, even if we like the tool overall.
How we make money
We earn through affiliate links. When you sign up for a tool through one of our links, we get a commission at no extra cost to you. That is worth knowing up front.
It does not change what we write. A review that pushes the wrong tool is a review nobody comes back to read, and this only works if you trust it. The honest version is the only version that makes sense long term, for you and for us.
You can read more about exactly how we test on our How we review page, and about the affiliate side on our Affiliate disclosure page.
Who writes this
The Photo Testers. We are tired of software reviews that clearly have not touched the software. So we started testing the tools properly and writing down what we found. Accurate, hands-on tests you can rely on.
